Tethering
(self-extension function)

It has a self-expanding function that allows the blood vessel to open circumferentially when the recipient side of the coronary artery is incised. This creates an incision just like a blower, allowing one person to perform the anastomosis procedure. This function is manufactured using BM's patented technology.

Multi-layer structure

The blood vessel has a multilayered structure in order to reproduce the contrast between the inside and outside of the blood vessel and the physical properties suitable for anastomosis practice. By controlling the physical properties of the inner, middle, and outer layers, it is possible to mold a model that is ideal for surgical training.

Reproduction of physical properties

It is impossible to create a model that is exactly equivalent to human tissue properties in Dry Lab. However, it is possible to reproduce the "key elements" required for training in vascular anastomosis techniques. EBM's YOUCAN has achieved high reproducibility by focusing on "elastic modulus" and "tear strength when applied with a needle" and repeating basic experiments. All YOUCAN products undergo a quality inspection before shipment, and only those products that pass are shipped.

Material stability

YOUCAN is based on silicone rubber, and uses original raw materials produced through unique combinations and formulations. Conventional products are sold using materials such as PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) in order to reproduce a "wet feeling" or "realistic feeling", but these models lose their physical properties due to drying and changes over time. It's not stable. YOUCAN places emphasis on the stability of its materials, taking into consideration the shelf life of inventory items and usability for evaluation research purposes.
