2024 U40 BLC Hands-on Seminar

​What is the U40 Basic Lecture Course (BLC)?

The U40 Basic Lecture Course (BLC) is a series of hands-on and classroom lectures held throughout the country and is sponsored by the Japanese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery U40 (an official organization within the society that was established in February 2014 under the initiative of the Japanese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery and is comprised of all members aged 40 or younger). The BLC aims to improve the basic skills and knowledge of young cardiovascular surgeons.

At branches across the country and in each region, students can learn basic procedures, which contributes to raising the level of surgical techniques and basic knowledge of young surgeons.
In addition, we invite renowned doctors as lecturers for the BLC. This is a valuable opportunity to proactively ask questions not only about surgical techniques but also about everyday concerns.

This year, we plan to hold four hands-on courses across the country, with a particular focus on practical skills. The BLC courses held so far in Fukushima and Fukuoka have been very well received by participants.
